The Virginia Society for Directors of Healthcare Volunteer Services is an organization dedicated to the professional and personal growth of its members. The Society offers an annual educational conference for its membership, as well as opportunities for members to serve in leadership roles within the organization. It serves as a forum for the exchange of ideas, skills development and professional contact cultivation. VSDHVS is affiliated with the Virginia Hospital Association and the Association for Healthcare Volunteer Resource Professionals (AHVRP: Formerly, American Society for Directors of Volunteer Services.)  We are also affiliated with the 13 state regional professional group, SDVSHO (the Southeastern Directors of Volunteer Services in Healthcare Organizations.)

Membership is available to those who are recognized by the administration of a healthcare facility in Virginia and have major and continuing responsibilities of the volunteer services in that institution, who are interested in the attainment of the objectives and subscribe to the by-laws of the VSDHVS.
